The third largest state, California boasts incredibly diverse geography.  Breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean are found along the entire west coast.  To the east, lies the majestic granite ranges of the Sierra Nevada mountains rising up from the Central Valley floor, one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world.  Occupying a significant portion of the southeast, the driest of the North American deserts, the Mojave Desert, reveals a stark beauty.
