Giant Sequoia Groves
— Coming —
Renowned for its inspiring giant tree groves, Sequoia National Park (established in 1890) is home to some of the world's largest and oldest trees. The Giant Forest, one of the park's most famous groves, houses the General Sherman Tree, the largest living tree by volume, standing over 275’ tall and more than 2,200 years old. Some trees in these ecosystems date back over 3,000 years. These majestic giants grow only on the western slopes of California’s Sierra Nevada.
