Smoky Mountain Autumn – Behind the Scenes
For the third painting in my National Park series I decided to paint the Great Smoky Mountains as a follow up to the spectacular Grand Tetons National Park mountain range. As a result of doing the shows in North Carolina with the National Arts and Crafts Conference, I really wanted to create a painting that would truly capture the local environment. I have enjoyed my time back east interacting with everyone from all around the United States and then traveling around afterwards with my mom, trying to find the optimal locations for potential sites. Completing this painting was a real labor of love.
