Golden Torrey Bluffs – Behind the Scenes

Having walked all around the trails that wind along the cliffs of this unique state reserve, I appreciated experiencing all of the breathtaking views with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. I relished taking in the variety of its landscape, especially seeing its unique rugged terrain. For my second painting of Torrey Pines, I really wanted to focus on an image that would feel quite different from my painting, Aged Torrey Pine. This painting is not only different in format but also displaying a different terrain, showcasing the beautiful eroded sandstone canyons illuminated by the golden light.
