Historic Gamble House – Behind the Scenes

I recently completed my painting of the Gamble House in Pasadena, a masterpiece of Greene and Greene architecture. The journey began with an immersive walk around the property, photographing and studying its intricate design elements to find the perfect angle that captures its unique beauty.

After selecting the best shots, I developed a design to guide my painting. One evening, I arranged for all the interior lights to be turned on, allowing me to capture the house's warm, inviting glow. My goal was to highlight the architectural details and craftsmanship that make the Gamble House so special.

My connection to the Gamble House goes back to my college days when I fell in love with its architectural charm and its nostalgic link to "Back to the Future." This project has been a labor of love, blending my passion for art with my admiration for this architectural gem that holds a special spot in my heart.
