Winding Narrows Canyon is Flowing Right Along

During my Christmas break I made a big push to accomplish a lot on my Winding Narrows Canyon painting. Due to the nature of this location, there is not much of the sky showing. I began painting the background layers of the canyon and then started working my way forward. I will most likely paint the water covered boulders or the trees last. Once I have roughly laid in the various colors and shapes to see how everything works together. I will then take the time to make each layer completely opaque. I am hopeful that this one is going to come together a lot quicker than my last painting.
