Courageous Creativity Conference at Disney
I attended a three day Courageous Creativity Conference at Disneyland. The event was put on by the California Arts Project along with Disney Imagineering. It was an honor to hear from more than a dozen Imagineers in various forums, as they shared the unique and creative paths they had taken to end up working for one of the most imaginative companies, Disney! We were also treated to an early morning behind the scenes tour of Disneyland. I returned home feeling completely inspired and with a renewed desire to consider working for a company whose quality and creativity I so admire. Of course, while I was down there I had to stop by another one of my favorite examples of architectural design, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. It was inspired by the late 1800s - early 1900s Arts and Crafts Movement, which has been incorporated into every detail of the hotel. When I am there, I feel like I'm at home.
